In 2007, after the tragic loss of a childhood friend, 24-year-old Sebastian Terry stopped everything in his life to consider – if today was his last day on earth, would he be happy with how he’d lived his life? He quickly realized that he wasn’t, and decided to put pen to paper and create a list of 100 Things that he’d always dreamed of doing, hoping it would allow him to smile more and live a life with no regrets. He then set out on his personal journey to bring the list to life.
Little did he know that not only would his adventure change his life, but his 100 Things journey would hit a chord with a global audience and inspire people around the world to pursue their own dreams. He wrote a book, starred in his own show, and began sharing his story on stages across the world, but more importantly, Sebastian had started to help other people reach their dreams.
Sebastian’s true mission came to light after answering a request for help from a quadriplegic man named Mark who dreamed of completing a half marathon. Sebastian helped him reach his dream to complete the race by pushing him in his wheelchair the entire way.
This simple action changed Sebastian’s entire perspective and purpose. The secret wasn’t just completing his list of 100 Things, but in helping others along the way.
